What is Créo?

What is Créo?

Have you ever wondered why we named our tea and coffee shop Créo? Well, it's a question we've been getting a lot lately, and little did we know that explaining this would become our "FAQ"! So, grab a cup of your favorite brew, and let's take a humorous journey through the origins of Créo.

It all began in the midst of the pandemic, back in January 2022. Now, before you jump to conclusions, let me clarify – CO doesn't stand for COVID. In fact, CO represents something much more heartwarming: COnnect and COmmunity. You see, staying at home during those challenging times made me realize just how much I missed connecting with people and being a part of our vibrant community.

But as I sipped my tea and coffee, the pandemic also led me to contemplate the fragility of our existence on this beautiful planet. We humans have an uncanny ability to both cherish and destroy it. That's when it struck me – E should stand for UCLA's definition of sustainability: Environment, Equity, and Economy. Yes, our little COE or CEO didn't sound like a good name, but Créo perfectly embodies our commitment to creating a sustainable business through REsource Optimization. The RE in Créo also stands for our mantra: REduce, REuse, and REcycle.

Now, here's where things get interesting. E isn't just about sustainability; it's in both tEa and coffEE. That's why we want to place special emphasis on the E with an accent mark. We're all about celebrating the essence of both tea and coffee and how they bring people together.

And finally, the icing on the cake – when we looked up Créo, it turned out to mean "I believe" in Spanish. That sealed the deal for us. We believe in the power of tea, coffee, and community, and we want you to believe in it too.

So, there you have it – Créo, where COnnecting, COmmunity, and COffee come together to create a sustainable and meaningful experience. Join us in this journey, because at Créo, we believe in more than just a great cup of tea or coffee; we believe in you. Cheers to the E-ssence of life!
